Eve Ekman is a clinical instructor at UCSF’s Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and head of emotion awareness at Wisdom Labs.
At Wisdom Labs she provides expertise in cutting edge advances in how to use contemplative science research to support resilience and supporting the curriculum development with a lens of emotional awareness and burnout, she teaches both in-person and virtual programs, and supports the company’s research efforts.
Ekman’s research interests were inspired by her experience as a medical social worker in the emergency department of San Francisco General Hospital coupled with her training in the applied emotion regulation and mindfulness intervention: Cultivating Emotional Balance, CEB. At the Osher Center for Integrative medicine Eve continues to refine the conceptual framework, research and training in the areas of meaning, empathy and burnout. In addition to research Eve provides training based in Cultivating Emotional Balance to a wide array of clients in technology, health care, criminal justice, law and education both domestically and internationally.
Eve lives in her beloved hometown of San Francisco and enjoys surfing, cooking and getting lost in nature.
